Grumps & Carols

Name that Tune: “So this is Christmas and what have you done”

Movie Quote of the Day: “How did you make it through the holidays Dad? / I had a lotta help from Jack Daniels Son” – National Lampoons Christmas Vacation

Kids!! Arghhhhhhhhhh

Mucky coats! Toothpaste explosions! Spilled drinks on my nativity scene!

Don’t ask!!!!
Pass the Valium…..
Don’t you just hate PMT? It doesn’t go well with festive cheer though and it must be Christmas because I saw a Famous Grouse ad on the box the other night so that makes it official. That and the half drunk bottle of Baileys, the opened bottle of Absolut Pear and the Chocolate Orange shared with the kids infront of ‘Home Alone’ on Sunday & half eaten box of Turkish Delight I scoffed last night whilst watching the last episode of ‘Spooks’. All Hail Malcolm – bringing computer geekery to new heights – You gotta love the geeks man.

Watched RhoBear’s Christmas gig today – Carols from Around the World and have to say that my favourite was ‘Aussie Jingle Bells’

“Dashing through the bush, in a rusty Holden Ute,
Kicking up the dust, Kanga in the boot,
Kelpie by my side, singing Christmas songs,
It’s Summer time and I am in my singlet, shorts and thongs
Complete with cardboard Ute and kid in dangly cork hat and Hawaiian shirt. Love It!

RhoBear looked a bit self conscious but seemed to be enjoying herself and Hallelujah! the battery on the old camcorder managed to limp along long enough for us to get all 15 minutes of it without a BATTERY LOW warning and then switching off, like it usually does even though it has been charging since 1987! Here’s hoping it does the same tomorrow morning for A’s stage debut.

Think I’ve got all my pressie shopping done now which is just as well because town is just a nightmare at that’s just Bradford. Lord knows what chaos would be in store if I had to go into Leeds or Manchester. I shudder at the thought – hurrah for the Tinterweb where you can browse in the comfort of your own home then order it and wait for the delivery man to turn up. Job’s a good ‘un.
